Based in the ever-popular seaside resort of Ostend, you are well placed to visit two of the very best European Christmas markets, one in the medieval city of Bruges and the other, in the subterranean cave system in Valkenburg. This combination of Belgium and Holland remains one of our most popular Christmas Markets coach trips.

This selection of two fantastic European Christmas Markets is always one of our most popular festive short breaks. Our first included excursion is to beautiful Bruges where the Christmas markets illuminate the grand squares and historical buildings. You’ll also have time to wander around the romantic cobbled streets and alongside the pretty canals and visit some of the many chocolate shops in the Old Town.

In Valkenburg wind your way amongst the Christmas stalls in the caves underneath the town and visit the romantic ruined castle at its centre.

Ostend is a fantastic place to spend your evenings. There are plenty of restaurants and bars selling excellent Belgian beer. During the day you can wander along the promenade (or the beach if you’re brave!), shop and maybe take to the ice on the famous ice rink built on the main square.
